The Role of Women

I wonder if we can accomplished peace without men accepting the facts that women is the missing piece of the puzzel?

According to the statistics from the United Nations Statistics Division, in 1995, women of the world grew half of the world's food, did two third of the work but owned one hundredth of its properties. Women formed one third of its formal labour force but earned one tenth of its income. Women did almost all the domestic work and unpaid work in the world. Two-thirds of the world's illiterate were women. The 1999 figures showed that there were twice as many illiterate women as men, women continued to be paid a third less than men. The current situation is not much better than that of 1999.

This clearly shows that woman is a disadvantaged group. The equality of men and women is not, at present time, universally applied. In many countries traditional inequality still hampers the application of this principle. Both men and women must take the lead to practice this principle. Women and girls must be encouraged to take part in the social, spiritual and administrative activities of their commmunities.

For many, advancement of women will bring development of humankind. A woman is the first teacher of a child from its infancy. If she be defective and imperfect herself, the child will necessarily be deficient, therefore imperfection of woman implies a condition of imperfection in all mankind, for it is the mother who rears, nurtures and guides the growth of the child. Therefore through the education of women and girls, the benefits of knowledge will be effectively diffused to the next generation and throughout society.

Women form an important part of our human resources in our community. Women, whose capacities, in many lands still largely unused, and whose potential for service of Cause so great, to arise and demonstrate importance part they are to play in all fields of service. If women are not involved, the community will be deprived of a great resource. With full participation of women, the community will definitely advance at a faster pace.

The world of humanity is possessed of two wings: the male and the female. So long as these two wings are not equivalent in strength, the bird will not fly. Until womankind reaches the same degree as man, until she enjoys the same arena of activity, extraordinary attainment for humanity will not be realized, humanity cannot wing its way to heights of real attainment.

A lot of people might have a different opinion base on cultures and religions belief but what i am trying to say is that can we accomplished real peace without taking to account that men and women should have equal rights for everything. Just like a bird - one wing is the male and the other is female. If one wing is not functioning well the bird can not fly and thats the same principle applies to humanity.

Different Religions

Is there a end to Religious strife?

There are 9 major religions in the world today such as Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhaism etc. Not to mention different sects and churches within some of these Religions. Christianity alone have more than 1000 different churches around the Globe.

This is one big issue that divided people in this world. For many people, Religion is mainly about tradition, and simply following the beliefs of their parents and family. Most traditions have much of value that should be cherished and preserved, but they can also be barriers to understanding between individuals, communities and nations. People can be afraid and suspicious of anything different from what they know and are used to.

If we look at the world today, we can see that people are divided, some countries goes against each other because of what they claim its their Religious rights or beliefs. Many of these wars and terorist attach todays are happen because of the differences of understanding of man made beliefs.

While these madness is going around the world, few people have a different idea. This is what they believe if we take some times and look into the heart and true spirit of all the world's great religions and to consider the true teachings of their founders. If we do this, we will discover that they are all in agreement. That the foundation of all religions is one

All religions of the world talk about oneness of God:

1. "the lord our God is one Lord" (Christ, New Testament, Mark 12:29



2. "but just how many gods are there....?"One" (Hinduism, Brihan - Aranyaka Upanishad 3:9:1)



3. "He is God, the One and Only; God the Eternal, Absolute... and there is none like unto Him" (Muhammad, 570 - 632 A.D, Koran 112:1-4)



4. "No God is there beside Thee, the Supreme Ruler, the All-Glorious, the Omniscient." (Baha'u'llah, Prayers and Meditations, p.6)



5. "I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me." (Judaism, Isaiah 45:5)

These are only some of the quotations from different religions proves that they all agree about the Oneness of God.

All Religions talk about the qualities of God such as love, caring, respect, trust, unity, kindness, humility and so on.

Religion should be the Cause of Love and Affection.Religion should unite all hearts and cause wars and disputes to vanish from the face of the earth, give birth to spirituality, and bring life and light to each heart. If religion becomes a cause of dislike, hatred and division, it were better to be without it, and to withdraw from such a religion would be a truly religious act.

For it is clear that the purpose of a remedy is to cure; but if the remedy should only aggravate the complaint it had better be left alone. Any religion which is not a cause of love and unity is no religion. All the holy prophets were as doctors to the soul; they gave prescriptions for the healing of mankind; thus any remedy that causes disease does not come from the great and supreme Physician.

In conclusion, I wonder if this misunderstanding that causes war and terrorist attach causes by fail to interperet the true meanings of Religions Holy writings or is it better to go without religions?

Hello friend,

I wonder if world peace can be accomplish?

Imagine waking up one moring, turning the TV on and all the leaders of the world come together as one.What would be the world like if all humanity, religions, races and countries learn from our diffrences and realise that we are one as one human race (one world).

Maybe im just dreaming and maybe that we are heading the right direction. Today, many countries are concerning about human rights, starvation, war, nuclear energy, global warming etc. Now, there are international law that almost every country agreed on. This was never happen in the past. Is this a sign of one world?

Different religions have causes major wars in the past. Not to mention so many lifes have been sacrifice for a cause they believe on. Some might says because of that there is no way we going to get along. But now, when there is something bad happen anywhere. Religion leaders get together in love and harmony searching for a new solution. Can this be a sign of oneness?

Different races, cultures and beliefs might be some factors that slow down the movement to a better world. Many people think that the world is like a garden - for garden to be beautiful has to have different colors, different trees, different smell etc. In the past, there is no way different races will ever get along. Not until now we learn and share each others cultures, values and appreciate unity in diversity.

Is this a sign of a one world? Can world peace be accomplish?
